Crypto lending and payments in one mobile app
Team task
Build a mobile app that brings crypto and traditional finance into one place — track bitcoin accounts, make payments, invest in crypto, request and offer bitcoin loans, and store assets long term. The team included a senior React Native developer, a QA engineer, a UI/UX designer and a business analyst.
Used technologies
React Native powers the shared codebase driving both the Android and iOS apps, with Redux keeping state predictable across complex financial flows. Node.js handles the backend services behind account tracking.
About the client
The client needed a powerful, reliable mobile solution that would meet the platform’s ambitions across both platforms. Their product covers a wide range of services: bitcoin account monitoring, payments, trading, exchange, staking, wallets and a bitcoin lending exchange where users can both apply for loans and offer them.
The problem
Cross-platform apps usually trade performance for reach. For a financial product, that trade isn’t available: an app that stutters mid-transaction loses user trust in a single moment, and trust is the entire proposition when someone’s assets are involved. The architecture also had to scale under real user demand and stay stable on multiprocessor systems.
